Deep Blue Depths

This piece started out life as the wax paper that I was working on while creating other work.  At one point I used it to press onto some blue acrylic to take off excess and provide texture.  I loved the look of the wax paper so I saved it and let it dry.  And it here it is.  I love the deep blue color and it brought to mind the deep blue of the oceans depths.  Happy Friday!

SOWA Artwalk is this weekend in the South End of Boston.  A selection of my miniature collage cards will be for sale at Galatea Fine Art at 460B Harrison Avenue.  Stop by and see our beautiful art!

  1. It does capture the deep blue of the depths of the ocean. I was watching the underwater surveillance of the gulf vehicles and some of the images look like this. Beautiful, Kathleen.
