Exploding Lily

This card was inspired by a shirt of my daughters that has purple, fuchsia and orange.  I didn’t quite get the fuchsia but I’m still happy with the palette.  I took purple tissue paper and applied it to the card.  Then I painted rough flower shapes with a dark fuchsia shade.  To that shade I added some yellow plus glass bead medium and used feathery brush strokes to apply it.  When I finished it gave me the feeling of a day lily that was exploding with color.  As always, the glass bead medium is hard to photograph and yet I love the effect.  Enjoy.
