I started this card by cutting and gluing circles of foil. From there I took a piece of wax paper, crumpled it, colored on it with marker, and then wiped the marker so it only remained in the webwork of the crinkled lines. I crumpled it again and glued it down. Then I wiped the surface first with red violet ink and then black. The ink highlights the raised portions of the wax paper. Finally I wrapped the entire piece with thread. Looking at it looked like the lines were pathways through a landscape. But more of an imaginary landscape or one from a foggy memory. Fountain Street Open Studios starts tonight and runs through the weekend. Please stop by to say hello!
